Nottingham Stream - Bed Repairs : Christchurch City Council

What	We are looking to carry out some repair work to the bed of Nottingham Stream.
Why	Repairs to the stream bed to ensure water will flow efficiently during a rain event.
Where	Nottingham Stream between Patterson Terrace and Nicholls Road.
When	Work will start on 11 January 2021 and is expected to be completed by 22 January 2021 (weather dependent).

This work will include:

Infilling holes, and removing areas of sediment built in the stream bed by a small excavator.
Site access will be via the bridge at Patterson Terrace. We do not envisage any need to access private property, but if it is required we will contact property owners directly.
Traffic management maybe required on Patterson Terrace where we are accessing the stream, but there should be no problems around access to you property over this time.
Hours of work will be between 7.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday. We are planning to be onsite for no more than 2 weeks, but this will be weather dependent.

Noise

There may be increased noise, dust and vibrations during work but it shouldn’t impact on your power, water, gas or phone services.

Safety

Safety is our biggest priority so please keep children and pets away from worksites.

Bins

Please put your bins out as usual before 6am on your collection day. Our crew will move and return them if needed.
