The Government is asking for everyone to stay at home. Their advice is that you can go for a walk or exercise outdoors for a short time, but to stick to simple walks or exercise spots close to home.
If using one of our parks, always stay two metres away from anyone not in your household. If you take your dog, please keep it on a leash at all times to help avoid contact with other dogs. Take your dog poo home and dispose of it in your red bin.
Where there are gates and latches in parks, please avoid using your hands to open and close them. If gates are off their hinges or left open, please leave them as you find them.
Cemeteries are open for pedestrian access only.

Start: Charlesworth Street car park, Brookhaven.
Finish: Same as the starting point.
Time: 15-20 minutes return.
Dogs: Must be kept on a leash at all times; not permitted in the wetland areas.
An asphalt path runs along the top of the main car park just off Charlesworth Street. Turn right to reach the start of the Wetland Edge Walk and an Information Panel.
From the end of the asphalt, a well-formed gravel path turns back towards Linwood Avenue. The track follows the edge of the Reserve's tidal pools and regenerating wetland vegetation. The pools are a hot spot for wetland wading birds such as oystercatcher/tōrea, pied stilt/poaka and white-faced heron/ matuku moana. Rare but regular visitors included bar-tailed godwit/kuaka and wrybill/ngutu parore.
Turn left at the first junction to return to the car park or continue on a few minutes to make a slightly longer loop around Ti Rakau Reserve beside Linwood Avenue and then back to the car park.
From this track you can also connect to Ti Rakau Drive or Dyers Rd (an additional 10 minutes alongside Linwood Avenue) or to Waterman Place in Ferrymead (5 minutes from car park).
